How do you and your team kick off the new year?

This conference was hosted by the government and NGO, successfully attracting over 30 foreign companies and 400 attendees. This event marked a significant milestone in Taiwan’s geothermal development as it is not only the very first international conference but also a catalyst which may greatly accelerate future investment and collaboration. Here are some takeaways through the government’s presentation:
The Deputy Minister of MOEA announced that the government will keep gearing up for geothermal development, expecting that geothermal power will play a critical role in 2050 Net Zero goal.
According to the government, the potential in Taiwan is around 40GW, and the current target is to develop 6.2 GW.
Several promotions will be taken on: incentive measures (FIT, exploration program), information disclosures, simplification of permit procedures, 20 years water right guarantees…and so on.
As a pioneer in this market, we are proud to be here, share, learn, and get inspired. And most of all, we are all fired up and look forward to speeding up Taiwan geothermal development together with partners and all stakeholders.
