We are honored to have our Chairman and CEO, Van Hoang, featured in bne IntelliNews, discussing Taiwan’s geothermal energy future.

As Lee Chun-Li, Deputy Director General of Taiwan’s Energy Administration, highlighted: “Unlike solar and wind power, geothermal energy provides continuous, 24/7 electricity, making it a stable and reliable source for baseload power. That’s why it has been designated as a ‘Pioneering Energy’ in Taiwan’s 12 Key Strategies for achieving net-zero emissions.”

Taiwan sits on the Ring of Fire, yet its vast geothermal potential remains largely untapped. Van Hoang envisions a future where geothermal power plants are fully integrated into society, delivering lasting benefits to local communities.

At Baseload Power Taiwan, we remain committed to accelerating Taiwan’s geothermal development and supporting its net-zero ambitions.

A big thank you to Mark Buckton for inviting us to share our story!
