Heat from the Earth - the next big energy source
Baseload Capital Chair Magnus Brandberg is quoted in a recent article in leading Swedish business newspaper, Dagens Industri, about the clear signs of a breakthrough for geothermal energy.

“The combination of decarbonization targets, technological advances and growing demand for clean baseload power is crucial,” says Magnus Brandberg in the interview. He adds: “New drilling methods and digitalization can make the heat from the Earth’s interior a key source of baseload power in the future energy system.”
He also points out that data center companies have an exceptionally high willingness to pay for renewable, reliable energy for their AI data centers, making projects commercially viable in ways that were not possible before.
