Over the past five years, Baseload Power Taiwan has built long-term trust with the Hongye Tribe, respecting their right to self-determination. This relationship was key to securing the tribal vote, which represents a groundbreaking milestone for the nation’s clean energy transition and community-rooted development.

Stepwise exploratory drilling and plant development phase to begin

The company’s new local office and the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) formalize this partnership, reinforcing its commitment to transparency and collaboration. With the exploration permit now secured, Baseload Power Taiwan is entering a two-year phase of stepwise exploratory drilling, with plant development planned to follow.

Geothermal energy offers clean, 24/7 power, while residual heating supports greenhouse agriculture, crop drying, and hot spring tourism, creating local jobs and boosting the regional economy. Baseload Power Taiwan will maintain transparent communication, mitigate vibration and noise, ensure regular monitoring, and prioritize local recruitment.
